Organized by Surf Mexico, the Battle of Bucerias showcases a wide range of innovative watersports disciplines. From exhilarating wing foil regattas to pulse-pounding windsurf races, participants can compete in categories such as Wing Foil Jr. and Open, Windsurf LT racing, Freestyle Wing Foil, Stand Up Paddle sprints and techniques, and the thrilling Starship racing championships.
But the Battle of Bucerias is more than just a competition—it’s a celebration of community spirit and athletic achievement. Families are encouraged to join in the fun, with activities suitable for both children and adults. Whether you’re cheering from the sidelines or diving into the action yourself, there’s no shortage of excitement to be had.
Prizes and Incentives
As an added incentive, participants will receive a commemorative rash guard and have the chance to win from a prize pool totaling $50,000 MXN, including a state-of-the-art wing board from Starboard!

Over the course of Saturday, May 6th, our beachside adventure unfolds with a series of exhilarating activities. The day commences promptly at 8:00 AM as participants gather to register for the day’s events. The action kicks off at 9:00 AM with thrilling Stand-Up Paddle (SUP) races, setting the tone for a day filled with excitement. As the morning progresses, spectators are treated to the intense Starship Eliminations at 11:00 AM, where competitors vie for supremacy on the water. The afternoon brings further adrenaline rushes with the Wing Foil Race at 1:30 PM, followed by the competitive Windsurfer LT Race at 2:30 PM. The day’s festivities reach their peak with the Wing Foil Freestyle Expression Session at 3:30 PM, showcasing the participants’ skills and creativity as they navigate the waves with finesse.
Sunday
Sunday, May 7th, promises a blend of camaraderie and competition, coupled with a commitment to environmental stewardship. The day begins with a renewed sense of purpose as registration reopens at 8:00 AM, followed by a Beach Cleanup at 9:00 AM, underscoring our dedication to preserving the natural beauty of the coastline. The competitive spirit reignites with the SUP Race at 10:30 AM, followed by the eagerly awaited Starship Championship at 11:00 AM, where the top contenders battle it out for glory. Following the exhilarating races, participants can unwind with the Windsurfer LT Race at 1:00 PM, followed by the Wing Foil Race at 2:30 PM. The weekend draws to a close with a celebratory tone as we gather for the Award Ceremony at 5:00 PM, honoring the outstanding performances of our participants, followed by a vibrant Taco Party on the beach, fostering bonds and memories that will last a lifetime.
