La Cruz Farmer’s Market began in 2010 as an idea among neighbors, and now it hosts around 200 vendors each Sunday from November to April. It is one of the most amazing open-air markets you will ever visit! Vendors offer everything from clothes to ceramics to freshly baked bread.
The La Cruz Sunday Farmer’s Market mission is to promote community development in La Cruz through educational, cultural, and recreational activities. With the growth of the market, their social projects have grown as well.
Farmer’s markets in Nayarit are allowed to open from November onwards as long as certain COVID safety protocols are followed, and a training program will be required for all vendors.

La Cruz Sunday Farmer’s Market opens every Sunday, November to April from 9 am – 2 pm.
Remember to bring the following:
- Bring your shopping bag, thermos, and some Tupperware
- It is pet-friendly, but they all must be leashed
- Bring cash, as there are no ATMs inside the marina
- Wear sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat
