What is the Bucerias Art Walk?

We love going to this weekly event! Every Thursday evening (November – April) the free self-guided walking tour covers most of the Art District & Golden Zone. New galleries have joined this year and all the favorites from the past are also ready for your visit.

The participating galleries are all clustered together in the city’s Art District, also known as the Golden Zone. Sip wine, sample cheese, wander the cobblestone streets, and interact with some of the top artists and gallery owners in Banderas Bay. Don’t forget to take in the galleries themselves, as many are beautiful examples of Mexican colonial architecture, housed in repurposed homes and shops. Afterward, explore the neighborhood’s many restaurants and bars.

The event is presented in partnership with a diverse array of galleries, artist studios, nonprofits, and other local businesses. If you are interested in art classes, the Bucerias Art Walk’s mission is to bring local art to the streets and create more spaces for culture. Art, mosaic, painting demonstrations, tiles, beads, and jewelry workshops are all offered in the area.
