Mercado de Bucerias Flea Market

The Bucerias flea market, or Mercado de Bucerias, hosts dozens of stalls that sell both traditional Mexican items and souvenirs to take home and remember your vacation by. It is one of the many places for great shopping in Bucerias and is located on the corner of Dr. Abraham González Street and México Avenue in the downtown area (Centro).

It is what it is… very friendly banter with the vendors and they’re not too pushy. The Bucerias flea market vendors are anxious for business and they will all call out as you stroll through the street. Just be polite when refusing their offers and if you like something you can probably barter a bit for it.

There is a great selection of vendors and a variety of merchandise. They sell everything from beautiful glass pieces, Talavera (mostly from Dolores Hidalgo, but if you want Puebla-style, check out David’s place), Huichol art, and other colorful Mexican crafts that are worth checking out. There are also funny beach t-shirts, silver jewelry, sandals (huaraches), and tapestries. One of our favorite souvenirs to buy are custom license plate plaques. You can buy one of the ones they already have made or have them make one with anything you would like it to say.
