Our Story

From one vacation rental in Bucerías to 150+ properties across Banderas Bay.

Beach Please started with one vacation rental and three people doing almost everything themselves. Today, the company is much bigger, but the idea is still simple: take care of owners, take care of properties, and be there when something needs to get done.

2018

It Started With Our Own Vacation Rental

Beach Please began in January 2018 after Haley and Eric purchased their own vacation rental in Bucerías, a small studio in the Golden Zone.

Managing it quickly showed us how much sits behind a successful rental: pricing, guest communication, cleaning, maintenance, accounting, reviews, repairs, and plenty of unexpected problems.

We weren’t completely satisfied with the management options available, so we started building the company we wanted to hire ourselves.

GROWING ONE HOME AT A TIME

Then Other Owners Started Asking for Help

Friends, neighbors, and other homeowners slowly began asking us to manage their properties too.

Dave and Gayla were the very first owners to take a chance on Beach Please, and they’re still with us today.

They’ve also become some of our best friends. We’ve visited them several times in Montana, where they spend most of the year. It’s one of our favorite examples of how many owner relationships have grown into genuine friendships.

THE EARLY DAYS

Three People. Pretty Much Every Job.

Andre joined Haley and Eric in building Beach Please, and in the beginning there weren’t departments or specialized positions.

The three of us did everything.

We answered guests, inspected every property before check-in, coordinated cleaners, handled maintenance and owners, bought supplies, worked on listings, and personally dealt with whatever went wrong.

Doing every job ourselves taught us what good property management actually requires.

OUR OFFICE

Eventually, We Needed a Home Base

In the early years, we spent most of our days running from property to property, so an office wasn’t much of a priority.

As we grew, we needed space for an in-house accounting team, maintenance team, administrative staff, storage, and everyone working behind the scenes.

We found the perfect location in central Bucerías on the east side of town, with quick highway access to properties throughout the bay. We’re still there today.

MORE THAN AN OFFICE

Then We Opened a Coffee Shop

We’d seen plenty of property management offices that felt closed, cold, and unwelcoming. That never felt like us.

We’ve also always loved good coffee, so we opened the Beach Please coffee shop and visitor center: a welcoming place for homeowners, guests, neighbors, and anyone curious about what we do.

We serve specialty Mexican coffee beans, and people can stop in for coffee, ask about management, meet the team, or find a property for their next stay.

BUILDING A REAL LOCAL TEAM

From Three Generalists to Specialized Teams

As our portfolio expanded throughout Banderas Bay, the original three-person operation grew into a full local team.

Today, specialists handle guest support, inspections, housekeeping, maintenance, finance, marketing, technology, reservations, and homeowner support.

The company is much bigger now. The basic philosophy isn’t.

ALWAYS LEARNING

Staying Connected to the Industry

At least once a year, our team attends a major vacation rental conference such as ExpoRV, GuestyVal, or ExpoHost.

It keeps us current on technology, pricing, marketing, guest experience, and industry trends while giving us face-to-face time with Airbnb leadership, our Guesty Success Managers, and other industry partners.

A PRETTY UNFORGETTABLE YEAR

#1 in Banderas Bay, Times Square, the World Cup & Developer Partnerships

One year brought several milestones we definitely didn’t expect when we started with that first condo.

Beach Please was ranked the #1 Property Manager in Banderas Bay by AirDNA, featured on a Times Square billboard, and recognized by Airbnb as one of the top property managers in Riviera Nayarit.

We also partnered with two of the leading real estate developers in the bay, becoming the official property management company they recommend to owners across the towers they’ve built and continue to develop.

Airbnb’s recognition came with tickets to the Mexico vs. Korea World Cup match. For Andre, attending a World Cup game had been a lifelong goal, which made that one especially hard to beat.

Not every milestone has to be about revenue or portfolio size. Some are just really cool.
