Vacation rental house rules give hosts the opportunity to clearly state what the guests can or cannot do, what is expected of them, and what are the possible penalties or fees are if the rules are broken. Below is the House Rules template we use for all our vacation rentals and Airbnb listings:
It is the guest’s responsibility to carefully read the entire Rules & Regulations since it is legally valid and will apply without exception to all who stay in any property managed by Beach Please.
- Registration: The guest must state the exact number of people who will be staying at the property. Only registered guests will be able to stay at the property and we reserve the right of admission. It is forbidden to organize any type of party or event within the property. The guest acknowledges and accepts that their stay will be only for the days stipulated in the reservation and that they cannot convert the property into their residence.
- Check-in & Check-out: Check-in time is at 3 pm. On the day of departure, the guest must vacate the property before 11 am. After that time, Beach Please will have the right to make an extra charge according to the current nightly rates. Beach Please reserves the right to enter the property and collect the guest’s belongings after check-out time to make the room available for the following guests.
- Noise: The guest must at all times maintain respectful and considerate behavior towards other guests and neighbors, and try to keep the volume of their conversations, televisions, and music moderate so as not to disturb others. Quiet hours are between 10 pm and 8 am.
- Children: Guests accompanied by minors must watch over them at all times and they should never be left unattended. The guest will be responsible throughout their entire stay for any accident that the minor may suffer within the properties managed by Beach Please.
- Energy Savings: Please do not abuse electricity. These mini-split air conditioners cool down a room in minutes, so no need to leave them on all day to stay cool. Turn off the A/C every time you leave the property.
- No Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited on the property. There is a significant room recovery fee for guests who do not comply in order to cover the cost of restoring the property to a smoke-free condition. It is also prohibited to have any type of weapon or illegal substance.
- Pool: It is forbidden to consume food and use glasses or glass bottles in the pool area. Entering the pool is at your own risk.
- Inspections: The property manager has the right to enter the property at any time to inspect or perform any task, such as repairs and general maintenance.
- Cameras: Beach Please has installed security cameras at its properties to monitor public and common spaces. All the material obtained from said cameras will be made available to the authorities if necessary.
- Damage: The guest agrees to leave the property in good condition and will be responsible for any missing or broken items. They also take responsibility for the actions of all other guests in their reservation. Any damage caused by the guests to objects, furniture, or general property will be their exclusive responsibility, having to cover the amount of their repair or replacement. The amount to be paid is entirely at the discretion of Beach Please. If keys are lost, the door will be rekeyed and the cost will be charged to the guest. Also, if the guest discovers they’ve forgotten an item after checking out, they will be charged a service fee and shipping costs to have it mailed back to them.
- Pets: Pets are not allowed in most properties managed by Beach Please. To enter the property with a pet, the guest must have explicit written permission from Beach Please, so please confirm the pet policy of a property before booking. In cases where the entry of pets is approved:
- There is a 2-week stay minimum.
- The pet must weigh less than 20 kg and be fully trained.
- Pets cannot be left alone in the room (unless they are in a dog carrier or crate).
- The guests must take responsibility for cleaning up their waste.
- An additional fee may be charged if the property requires excessive cleaning.
- Release of Liability and Indemnification:
- Personal belongings of any value should never be left unattended. Beach Please declines all responsibility for the loss or theft of jewelry, money, documents, or other values of any kind. Every time they leave the property, guests must close windows, lock all doors, and keep their personal belongings safe and secure.
- Neither Beach Please nor the property owner or any of their representatives will be responsible for any injury, loss, illness, or damage to any guest or guest property.
- Neither Beach Please nor the owner of the property or any of its representatives will be responsible for any alteration or inconvenience that the client may suffer while occupying the property caused by the actions of neighbors or by unforeseen circumstances, which include, but are not limited to, the interruption of water, gas, electricity, or internet services. There has been a notable increase in construction in our city, which can result in noise and dust in the area. Beach Please will do everything possible to avoid noise nuisances for the guests, but will not be responsible for these inconveniences.
