Naef

Naef is a hidden oasis with amazing food in Punta Mita. From greeting to departure, every element of the experience is polished and professional. Subtle lighting illuminates the space perfectly, highlighting this magical setting. Everything is locally sourced, with many vegetarian and vegan options available. It’s clear the details matter to this team. Try their gorgonzola, pear & honey pizza, the Mahi Mahi wrapped in hoja santa, or the baked gnocchis. The service was impeccable and the atmosphere is so cozy and quaint. Cafecito de Mita

El Cafecito de Mita offers some of the best drinks and sweet homemade snacks in town. This place has stolen the hearts of many for its simplicity, quality, and delightfulness. Enjoy an authentic regional coffee from the state of Nayarit, fresh juices, smoothies, fruit bowls, homemade ice cream, and their delicious baguettes. They really do care about where their products come from and select only the finest and freshest ingredients.

Rustica

La Rustica Beach Club in Punta Mita is right in front of the surf break El Anclote, making it the perfect lunch or dinner spot to enjoy a drink under the sun. La Rustica offers a beach club atmosphere with a wood-fired kitchen, and an incredible menu that includes dishes such as Tuna Tartar, seafood pastas, oysters, grilled octopus, and their amazing pizzas. The cocktails are also delicious and very unique. You can go here right off the beach, but it’s also a great place for a date night or night out to get a bit dressed up. Rodrigo was born & raised in Sayulita and created La Rustica back in April of 2013, and then opened the Punta Mita location towards the end of 2020.

Barracuda

This beachfront restaurant located on Playa Careyeros is known for its fresh & local produce, quality, and unpretentious service. They offer an array of seafood specialties like ceviches, seafood tacos, and surf & turf combinations, but they also have several choices for non-seafood lovers. Some of our favorites include the chicharron de queso, the Dynamite Seafood plate, the molcajete, or the whole snapper. Oh, did I mention they have some of the best cocktails I’ve ever had? CASH ONLY!

Hours: Wednesday to Sunday – 1pm to 9pm

Teresa’s Tacos

Street tacos at their finest. Hand-made tortillas are fantastic, delicious desserts (try their flan or the banana bread), and friendly staff. Our favorites are the massive quesadillas or the tostadas. They open after 6 pm, and it is also BYOB!

Punta Mercedes

This beachfront restaurant in Punta Mita has a great ambiance and offers dishes like pizzas, catch of the day, octopus ceviche, Ribeye or New York Strip steaks, salads, and pastas.

Tuna Blanca

With the unique touch of Thierry Blouet (chef and owner of Café des Artistes in Puerto Vallarta), this beachfront Punta Mita restaurant offers an authentic feast of fresh organic ingredients from the region and traditional dishes from the Mexican Pacific coast. Although it has an upscale atmosphere, it manages to preserve a casual beach style.

The restaurant follows a farm-to-table model, seeking out only fresh and seasonal ingredients from regional fisheries and farms in the state of Nayarit. The setting is beautiful, the food is outstanding, and the service is top-notch.

Hector’s Kitchen

Chef Hector Leyva’s restaurant, Hector’s Kitchen, serves masterfully prepared dishes made from locally sourced ingredients. It has become a staple of the Punta Mita restaurant scene.

The entire menu is eclectic, all with Mexican flavors and themes while inventively mixed and prepared. It is not a typical resort dining experience but rather something that could be found in a major city. Order a la carte or the chef-driven tasting menu. Some of our favorites include the grilled octopus with a house-made red mole sauce, the fettuccine in a creamy mussels sauce, or the pork belly confit with cocoa sauce. The staff is attentive, thoughtful, and very professional.
